Happy Halloween

For Halloween this year we were able to celebrate in style. First we headed to a Fall Festival at Woods Edge, but something happened to my camera and all of my pictures are coming out blurry so I had to send my camera to get fixed, so sadly none of my pictures turned out. On actual Halloween, we headed to Magnolia to go on a hay ride and do some trick or treating.

Nana was a Pitrate for her work and Peyton loved her jewelry

Passed out after all the festivities

She wouldn't put down the blue flashlight!
I let her sleep with it and had to go in during the night to get it back

Oklahoma, You're OK!

This past weekend we packed up and headed to Ringling, Oklahoma for Ethan's grandparents for a celebration for their 60th wedding anniversary. I was a little concerned how P would handle the drive up, since she had never spent more than an hour in the car and the drive would consist of 6. But Peyton, as always, surpassed my expectations. She only had a few meltdowns and for the most part was a happy baby. I do have to say, I was a little overwelmed when we crossed the Red River. It was her first trip out of state and it made her seem so old to me.

Pumpkin Patch

Sunday was our first trip to the Pumpkin Patch as a family. This is a tradition that I have been waiting to experience with my little one. Just like taking pictures in bluebonnets in the Spring, it is a must to take pictures in pumpkins in the fall. Peyton was soo sick last week, she got RSV (a respiratory virus) so I was unsure we were going to make it. But after a week of sick, snotty and sleepless nights, we finally ventured out of the house. It was a little warmer than I would have wanted, but what else do you expect in Houston.

Shower for Natalie

We hosted Natalie's baby shower at our house this past weekend, and I think everything turned out very nice. We were running around like crazy up until the last minute, but as usual everything went according to plan.

This was only a portion of the food that we had.

I don't know how but we managed to go the whole shower without taking a picture of Natalie with the hostesses. I am so excited to meet Austin! I know that Natalie is going to make a wonderful Mommy!!!

Wedding in League City

On Friday, Peyton and I packed up and headed to League City for my cousin Jennifer's Wedding, Ethan was working in College Station so it was just the girls. We were fortunate and Aunt Jennifer and Uncle Danny agreed to watch Peyton and then let us spend the night. Jennifer and Danny are expecting their own little bundle of joy next year, so while I appreciated the help, they also got a small glimpse at their future.

Of course, I don't have any pictures of Peyton's fun night, but I was told she was a doll and after an "interesting" bath went to bed without any problems. Thanks Aunt Jen and Uncle Danny!!

10 Months

So my Peyton is changing so fast! 10 Months and she is growing up soooo fast. She is crawling everywhere and into everything, but I just love it. She threw her first fit as a response to me not picking her up, while I was packing her bag before we headed to the store. It was a full flegged tantrum and she threw herself on the floor and was arching her back and screaming. I am not looking forward to many of those.

This is the "Mom you're CRAZY face!"

She stopped to pass a bit of gas! :)

Best Friends

Climbing all over everything! She wanted a new bow.

At 10 Months:
Crawling everywhere
Saying Dada to everything, but will sometimes say Mama when prompted.
Can mimic sounds that we are making to her
Knows what "No" means, but doesn't always choose to listen. :)
Sleeps in on the weekends to 8-9am (she is definitely my child)
Is eating more solid foods, favorites include chicken sticks, bananas, and arrowroot cookies
Using a sippy cup more and more
Goes to sleep on her own after her evening bottle between 6:30-7:30pm and sleeping thru the night
Her hair is still growing in in a mowhawk (long in front middle, nothing anywhere else)
