Teofil Albert Klodzinski

On Tuesday December 20, 2011, a true angel on Earth was called home. Although he was 89 years old, his passing was sudden and left a large hole in our family. My Meme and Papa have been so instrumental in the person I am today and I am saddened that Peyton won't remember what a wonderful Papa he was. But I will do my best to honor his memory everyday.

Klodzinski Christmas

It has been years, many many years since my Mom's side of the family all gathered together for Christmas. This year my Uncle Ralph and Aunt Susie hosted a "Klodzinski Christmas" on the 17th and everyone was able to attend. I love spending time with all my cousins and seeing all the little kids playing. Ryan even had Kaitlyn so seeing her play with Avery and Peyton is very sweet.

First Ponytail

I picked up Peyton yesterday from school and Miss Kimmy had a special suprise for me! Peyton's hair was in her first Ponytail! I had tried before but couldn't get it to stay, but the Mowhawk is growing so she has just enough hair at the top of her head for a "pony".

You can barely see it, but trust me it's there!!

Better angle

Close up! Look how short her hair is on the sides, still definitely a mowhawk!

I guess she thought it was pretty funny too!

And the celebrations continue...

Monday was my 28th birthday and with all the focus on Peyton's big day, I was happy to celebrate with a dinner with family. We met at BJ's Brewhouse, one of my favorite places, and Jill brought designer cupcakes which are now a staple at our birthday celebrations.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PEYTON!!

Oh, my! I have a ONE year old!!
P's birthday fell on a Thursday so I took off that Thursday and Friday to begin our celebrations.

Headed to daycare to celebrate with her school party on Wednesday.

We took advantage of the gorgeous weather and headed to the zoo on Thursday with Nana, Aunt Chrissy and Avery.

Checking out the peacocks

I think P was just as interested in the squirrels as she was the lions and tigers.

BIG SMILE!!

Feeding her to the lion!
I can remember drinking out of this fountain as a child.

Getting ready to feed the giraffes

She loved it. Even after the trainer warned us not to actually touch the giraffes, P stuck her hand in it's nose.

Baby Elephants

The Baby Elephant kept trying to break free to get at the birds just outside their enclosure.

Tuckered out!

Avery through the Piranha tunnel...

...Aunt Chrissy followed

Right before Aunt Chrissy screamed and scared Avery when the Big Bat spread it's wings.

Isn't this the life...

We had a wonderful day and the December weather completely cooperated. We had such a great time!!

Friday night, Ethan and I dressed up and headed to Transocean's Christmas party. Papaw and Gramsy had volunteered to watch Peyton and she even got to spend the night so I could get ready for her party Saturday morning.
