Easter in the Country

We all got together the weekend before Easter to celebrate and hunt some Eggs! I love that all of the kids get along and play so well together.

P showing the boys the moth/butterfly she found.

If you ask P who this is,the response is "my Avery"

She was upset when the egg hunt started, even though we had practiced. I think she was just worried the big kids were too fast.

But she figured it out soon enough.

All the little ones.

King George

Rodeo Time is one of my favorite times of the year! This year was no exception, I took in 3 concerts, including the BIG ONE! This was George Strait's Farewell Tour and my fabulous sister invited me to attend with some of her friends.

Jilly and I on the way to see The King!

In the Limo Bus...the only way to travel to Rodeo!

Mommy and P at the Zoo

So Houston gets a total of possibly 20 days a year where the weather is absolutely gorgeous! I have made it a priority to enjoy all of these days!! One day last week, Peyton and I skipped work/school and headed to the Houston Zoo for a little Mommy and Me time.
We basically had the place to ourselves and had a wonderful time. Each time we have been to the Zoo, it amazes me how much she has grown and changed. This time she was all about the animals! She loved seeing them out and about and even had a few facts for me. She insisted that Tigers eat "Chicken Nuggets and BBQ sauce" and even want to share some of hers with the Tigers. I know most people think their kids are the smartest, but when she spotted one animal and I didn't know the name of it, she just smiled and said "It's a Okapi, Diego save him!" Seriously... I would say it was time to scale back the Dora and Diego, but can an average 2 year old spot animals like that?

I told her Grampa loves this move, so she had to get closer to examine it!

But for all the animals her FAVORITE part was the duck pond! All those exotic animals around her and my P wants to feed the same kind of ducks at every park in Houston. So of course, we spent at least an hour between the 2 ponds.
