One More...

Last night, I was putting P to bed and this was our conversation...

R: What do you want to be when you grow up?
(the usual answer is Tinkerbell, Dora, or something like that...)
P: I wanna be a Mommy, just like you!
R: Awww! That is so sweet! Is it because I am a nice Mommy and you love me very much?
P: No, because you have big boobies!

Awesome! So that is the defining characteristic of my parenting skills! Thanks Peyton!!

Sassy

Peyton has me laughing most of the time! She has so much personality and is so sassy! I wonder where she gets that from?!? I wanted to detail a few of our latest conversations.

R: Peyton, are you listening to me, I'm calling your name.
P: (silence)
R: Peyton!
P: WHAAAAAT!!
R: Don't yell at me, please, I was calling your name.
P: I not yelling, I talking firmly.

Every time she gets in trouble for something her immediate response is "You be mean to me!" and I have to continually remind her that Mommies are not mean, but that she got in trouble for not listening.

If she comes up to me out of the blue and says "Don't be mad at me!" I  immediately begin searching for whatever she has done! It usually involves toilet paper.

The other day, I bought her a lemonade from Sonic and it spilled in her lap on the way home. When I asked her if her shorts got wet, her response was "Yes, but my butt drank it all!"

After getting in trouble for something...
P: mumbles something
R: Excuse me, what did you say?
P: mumbles something again
R: Peyton, I can't understand you, are you being disrespectful? (Yes, she knows what disrespectful is.)
P: CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW??!?
I'm still not sure of the proper response in which I have the ability to remain calm.

She is very loving and constantly tells me that I am her best friend and that she loves me. I get kisses all the time, usually on my hands, but it's those little moments that I cherish the most!
