The Country

Last weekend, we made an impromptu trip up to Anderson. Being there without Papa is a bit strange, but knowing how much he enjoyed his place and all the amazing memories I have as a child there makes it easier. The family has been putting a lot of work into the place, and it looks really  good. They even dug out the tank in the back and re-stocked it with fish, as the drought last year dried it up, so we could have a fun place to fish.
As Peyton continues to grow, I hope we make visiting "the country" a priority.

Ready to Ride

Newly stocked Pond

Callie was in Heaven at the Pond and jumped in with no hesitation.
Otis was in Heaven just being around Callie.

Riding back, Avery complained that too much sun was in her eyes.
On the drive home, exhausted and full of stickers.

Prop Your Legs Up and Just Get Comfortable...

I snuck into P's bedroom last night, and this is what I saw.

I guess she is comfortable, because I catch her in this position ALL the time!

Easter 2012

We woke up early to see what the Easter bunny had left and there was a surprise from Nana too.

We headed to church with Meme and Nana. For the most part Peyton was good through Mass and only got irritated at the end.

Trying on Mama's necklace

The best we were able to get of a family picture...oh well

After church we headed over to Aunt Donna and Uncle Daniel's for some good food and visiting.
And Peyton had an egg hunt.

Grampa got her a Minnie Mouse Pillow Pet.... she is in Heaven!

Then we headed over to Gramsy and Papaw's where she got more Easter loot!

She is too cool!

And then another Egg hunt!

More bubbles!

What a wonderful weekend with perfect weather to celebrate Easter and family!

Saturday with Gramsy

On Saturday, after the busy previous days we decided to keep it simple and just visit at Gramsy's. Plus our dryer is broken...again so we had some laundry to do!

Look at those LEGS!

Patiently waiting for bubbles!

Accessory Exchange!
She never tries to touch my glasses, but Gramsy and Papaw's are fair game!

Too sweet!

I love how she is looking at her Gramsy!!

Good Friday

It has become a tradition on Good Friday to dye Easter Eggs at Aunt Jilly's and if the weather is right get in the pool. Well this year, the weather was perfect!

I love this picture! She LOVED the water!

Cousins!

Eating at the BIG GIRL table!

All our colors!

Watching the big girls swim!

Having her own Egg Hunt!

Baby Jackson

Over the Easter break. Peyton and I ventured to League City to meet baby Jackson and see Jennifer and Gramsy. Jennifer is doing great and little Jackson is such a cutie! Makes me miss Peyton as a baby...almost.
Peyton did very good sharing attention, well for the most part she did good. She wasn't really a fan of his while Gramsy was holding him, but she's going to have to learn to share.

Peyton hiding in Jackson's room. She'll stand in the corner and close her eyes.
She is positive she disappears, because when she opens them she shoots, "BOO!"

Getting close

Touching him. She numerous times pointed out where his nose was.

Getting tired of all the pictures

WANTED: Paci Loving Peyton

During Rodeo time the below picture hung in Peyton's classroom:
Peyton is a Paci Hoarder! Yes that is THREE she has at one time. Her teachers assured me this particular photo was staged, but she is the Pacifier Thief in her class. If any other child has theirs, Peyton will cry until she has hers or she will steal theirs and hide. I was originally ready to take it away several months ago, but after several incidents resulting in Peyton biting her friends over pacis, I decided to wait until she moves to the next classroom where pacifiers are only allowed during nap-time.
