Dear Peyton

Girl, another year has flown by. You are growing and changing everyday. You are becoming more independent and sassy by the day. However your teacher, Mrs. Gomez says you are a star in the classroom so as long as you are good at school, I can’t complain.
This year we went to Washington DC for a family trip and you were in your element. Your love for the Presidents tickles me. I hope that means you have a future in politics, but I’ll be glad if you just use your voice to help others. Your favorite President is John F. Kennedy and at 6 years old you have started his biography, the children’s version, but still... I am impressed.
You make me so proud everyday and I am so blessed and lucky to spend my life with you.
There is no other person I would want to share my time with. I’m loving this age and can’t wait to share so many more adventures. You have the best sense of humor and keep me laughing!
I love you the most!!
Love,
Mommy

Softball - 6U Mermaids

Peyton is playing softball during the fall and we are loving it. Double headers on Saturdays in the heat can be a bit overwhelming, but she is just doing so great! She's had an in the park home run this season and has had a chance to play pitcher quite a bit.

First Grade: Mrs. Gomez

School started a bit earlier this year than normal, but as much fun as the summer has been P was ready to get back to learning!!

Peyton got Mrs. Gomez as her teacher and although she doesn't have any of her friends from last year in her class, she is already making new friends!

First Grade Eve

Peyton,
Tomorrow you start FIRST GRADE! Another knotch on your academic career belt (one of many to be sure!). I thought you would be nervous, a new class, new teacher, new everything... and yet again, you prove me wrong!instead of nervous, you are excited. While you have had the best summer with Triggy and Hannah, you are too much like your Mama and ready to get back to learning, and I could not be prouder. You excelled in Kindergarten and I have no doubts you will continue on the same path as a first grader. You make me so proud of you everyday!
At meet the teacher, your teacher gave you a little bag to fill with 5 things about you, you included: a picture or me and you, a picture of Avery and Brady, a little stuffed animal that looks like Charley, a few beads because you love crafts and a miniature Bible, because you love Jesus.
Girl, be still my heart, you are amazing!!
I can't wait to hear all about your first day tomorrow!
No one loves you as much as me!!!
Love, Mommy
