Cousins

Since I have been on leave, we have been able to spend some quality time with Aunt Jilly and Avery. I love watching Avery with Peyton, she is such a sweet big cousin. Whenever she talks to Peyton, her voice changes a couple of octaves and she tickles her under her chin. She refers to Peyton as "Baby Peyt" or "Baby Peyton" everytime, never just Peyton.

It makes me so happy to see them together, since Jill and I are so close to our cousins. I want her to have the same kind of relationship as we do.

Grandparents

We are so lucky to have both sets of grandparents so close, especially the Grandmas. Both have been so helpful and care for Peyton so much that I know she is always in great hands. I am so happy that Peyton is constantly surronded by people who love her so much. It is also nice to have all the help and constant support. I know that when things become difficult or I need help they are right there ready to lend a hand.

Happy New Year!

We rang in 2011 as a family this year, just the three of us. It was simple and absolutely perfect. At midnight, Peyton was asleep on Ethan's chest and the only reason we knew it was midnight was all of the fireworks going off around our house. Peyton slept through it all, even the airhorn our neighbors apparently had.
2010 was such a big year for us, from finding out we were pregnant, followed by the anticipation of Peyton's arrival, to her birth we were very busy this year. I, however, am excited to see what 2011 has in store for us. I can't wait to watch Peyton grow and her personality take shape.
