On Friday, Nana, Jill, Avery, Peyton and I took advantage of the nice weather and headed to zoo. We got there early and spent the whole day enjoying the animals and having fun with the girls.
First up was watching the elephants get their bath.
P liked the elephants.
Losing some interest at the monkeys
Aunt Jilly and Avery
Avery got to pet some of the animals, and proved how brave she is.
This is her petting a snake.
And another snake.....
Peyton wasn't very impressed with the snakes.
Avery was very excited to see the sea lions. She
remembered one's name was Callie from a trip she took to the zoo earlier in the year.
Peyton slept through the sea lions too....
She told me her Dada catches fish that big.
Being a
piranha Peyton at the aquarium
Snoozing through Africa
Finally up and ready for some lunch.
I think Jill is yelling at Avery not to push Peyton's stroller.
The girls riding in the wagon.
Sharing a snack
I
accidentally got some sunscreen in P's eye (way to go Mom!). She is so sensitive, her eye swelled up and her face turned bright red.
But she still got to pet some goats.
If you notice Avery in the background, she brushed every goat in there, even the tails.
On a train ride with a swollen eye.
All the girls!
Once her eye recovered, she blew bubbles as entertainment.
Passed out on the ride home.
How can she be this tired after sleeping through half of the zoo???
